The Ballad of Ruby C.

Ruby was a dancer at a bar they called The Turks
For high school kids with fake ID’s, cowboy’s, drunks and jerks
She would shake and slither like a rattlesnake with hips
She was the meanest woman to ever paint her lips

She took up with a drifter by the name of Billy Con
Ruby took his last name but Billy did her wrong
She shot him in a motel the scene of the crime
Pulling on his blue jeans one leg at a time

Billy begged for one more chance but now old Billy’s gone
The moral is you can’t go back when you cross Ruby Con
